The Breese American Legion Hall will be the site of a blood drive on Sept. 15, 2010. Donors may come from 2-7 pm. Giving blood saves lives.

Oct. 1 and Oct 2, 2010 are the dates for the city-wide garage sales. These garage sales will be in conjunction with sales by all Breese merchants. We welcome you to come and browse through the community.

Aug. 19 is the 1st day of school in Breese. Increases in car and pedestrian traffic occur at all crossings. Please drive defensively. The couple of seconds you save by driving though a yellow light or pedestrian crossing is not worth an accident or injury.

This light will make it safer to cross Walnut Street. We still need parents(adults) to teach their children that it is best to make sure that traffic in all 3 lanes are stopped before crossing. Also, please stop at all crosswalks when you see people waiting. Nobody wants to live with that kind of accident.
