DARE Education in Our Schools

Empowering Students Through Education and Positive Choices

The Breese Police Department is proud to offer the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program to local schools as part of our commitment to keeping our community safe, informed, and resilient. DARE is a nationally recognized prevention program that equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy, responsible decisions throughout their lives.

Through age‑appropriate lessons, interactive discussions, and real‑world scenarios, students learn about:

  • The dangers of drug and alcohol use
  • How to resist peer pressure
  • Building confidence and communication skills
  • Managing stress and making safe choices
  • Forming positive relationships and resolving conflicts

DARE isn’t just about saying “no”—it’s about giving young people the tools to say “yes” to their goals, their well‑being, and their future.

Meet Our DARE Officer: Ryan Isaak

We are proud to have Officer Ryan Isaak serving as Breese’s dedicated DARE officer. Officer Isaak brings energy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive.

Each year, he visits classrooms across Breese to teach the DARE curriculum, build positive relationships with students, and serve as a trusted resource for teachers and families. His presence in our schools strengthens the connection between law enforcement and the community, helping students see officers as mentors, supporters, and partners in their success.

Officer Isaak’s work reflects our shared belief that prevention, education, and connection are essential to building a safe and healthy community.

Our Commitment to Breese’s Youth

The DARE program is one of the many ways we invest in the well‑being of our young people. By partnering with schools, families, and community organizations, we aim to create an environment where every child feels supported, informed, and empowered to make positive choices.
If you have questions about the DARE program or would like more information about Officer Isaak’s work in our schools, please contact the Breese Police Department.
