Applicant owns Scooter’s Coffee which is located in a C-2 – Highway Commercial District that borders an R-1 Single-Family Residential District.  40-6-3(A) requires a buffer strip of landscaping and/or other treatment.  The setback for the buffer strip and/or other treatment is 10 ft.  The applicant is requesting a variance to install a fence on the property line next to an R-1 District.
