Illinois Municipal Utilities Association (IMUA) is offering a $2,500 scholarship essay contest to eligible graduating high school seniors whose families reside in an IMUA municipality. A total of four (4) finalists will be chosen by the IMUA Scholarship Committee. Each finalist will receive a finalist certificate and a $2,500 award from IMUA to be used for college tuition. If the finalist is a City of Breese resident, the city will offer a $2,500 matching award to be used for college tuition. Winners will be announced sometime in April.
Each eligible applicant is asked to submit an application and an essay of 500 words or less addressing their choice of one of five (5) utility-related issues/questions.
