The City of Breese is accepting applications for the position of Power Plant/Water Plant Operator. This opening is for the 11 PM- 7 AM shift. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities include daily operations of the City’s water treatment plant. Duties include water testing, operating and monitoring the chemical feed systems, pumps and associated equipment through the SCADA and computer systems.
The second portion of the job consists of daily operation of the power plant, including operation of large diesel power generators, motors, electro-mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, and other specialized equipment within the power plant.
Successful candidate must be available for day, evening or overnight shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime in all weather conditions. Employee must live within 10 miles of Breese City Hall within 6 months of hire date.
